Circle K International is a division of Kiwanis International. This service organization focuses on allowing college students around the world to better their communities and their leadership skills. The first Circle K club was founded in 1947 at Carthage College, Kenosha, WI, now a part of the W-UM district. Circle K members gather every summer for an international convention. This convention includes election of international officers as well as fun activities in the city where the convention is hosted. The Wisconsin-Upper Michigan(W-UM) District includes the entire state of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. There are currently 24 clubs at various colleges and universities throughout the district, with several more in the planning stages. District events such as Winter Weekend, Spring Fling, and Membership Awareness Convention keep the 7 districts in close contact. Many clubs also enjoy participating in interclub activities within the district, for more information about the W-UM district, please visit www.wumcirclek.org.

Circle K at Marquette University was originally founded in 1980, and then reestablished in 1985. The club has received the Spirit of Marquette award twice, once in 1992 and again in 2006. Meetings are held every Tuesday at 7pm. Each Circle K club is sponsored by a Kiwanis club near their college or university. Marquette University is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Milwaukee. This is the oldest club in the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan district. We occasionally participate in their events and meetings,as do they in some of ours.
